Update to previous review…..2024. New chef. The previous family retired. The space is still beautiful but the review below is no longer accurate, unfortunately. Stars updated to moyen.…. (Review from 2022) We schedule a visit at Asparagus every year (that we are able to visit the area). Languid summer evenings can be arranged, seated outside on a deck under a canvas roof, watching the sun set across the fields in Montblanc. The setting (view of a lovely olive tree across the fields) provides a chalereux backdrop to the best meal that you will eat in this area of France. And if you time it right you could get a fireworks show from Bezier on or about the 14th of July! - Now about the food and service. The food is truly exquisite. It is thoughtfully prepared, made from local, seasonal ingredients with amazing special touches (e.g. mIllefeuille with poppy seeds ... I'll post the picture). Husband prepares the food, the wife serves, and they may also have their son helping. It's a family affair. But do not underestimate this restaurant. The wine list (local) is outstanding, the food is top notch, and Asparagus stands out even among all of the truly excellent restaurants in the Valros/Pezenas/Caux area (of which there are quite a few!). This is a lovely place for dinner or lunch. Don't miss it.

Superb food, proudly french but with an international touch. My foie gras with asian-inspired tuna was divine, and the dessert - Cannelés Bordelais was gorgeous.
